NU'EST (Korean: 뉴이스트), an acronym for Nu, Establish, Style, Tempo, is a South Korean boy band under Pledis Entertainment, being the first male group to debut under the label. Their fandom name is ㄴㅇㅅㅌ (pronounced 'love'). The fan color is neon pink.

HistoryEdit

Pre-fameEdit

Before their debut, NU'EST made several appearances with their label mates. They were backup dancers for Wonder Boy by After School Blue, and released music video for Love LetterHappy Pledis' special Christmas release. 

JR appeared in the music video for Orange Caramel's song Bangkok City and was featured in Uee's song Sok Sok Sok. Baekho was in After School's music video for Play Ur Love, and Minhyun was in Orange Caramel's music video for Shanghai Romance.

Aron, JR, Ren and Minhyun were featured with After School's Lizzy in an advertisement for New Balance.

2012Edit

On March 15, 2012, NU'EST made their official debut with Face, along with a debut stage for M Countdown. Their first reality show, Making of a Star: NU'EST Landing Operation began airing during this promotional period.

NU'EST returned with Action on July 11 and became ambassadors for Korea's Scout Association. Around then, NU'EST visited several countries such as Japan, Australia, the USA, and other parts of Asia. In December, NU'EST began endorsing with McDonalds.

2013Edit

Ren and Baekho made an appearance in Uee's drama Jeon Woo Chi in January of 2013. NU'EST, along with labelmates Hello Venus, appeared on SBS MTV Diary. On February 13, they released their second mini album, Hello and on the same day held their first showcase. Aron became a DJ for Arirang's Music Access.

On September 22, NU'ESTcame back with Sleep Talking, and started expanding into the Chinese market with NU'EST-M and additional member Jason. In December, Minhyun started acting in Reckless Family 3 as a regular.

During Sleep Talking promotions, NU'EST expanded into the Chinese market by forming a special project unit known as NU'EST-M, with an additional member Jason. The band recorded Chinese versions of Face and Sleep Talking.
